Dr. Austin McHenry

Dr. Austin McHenry is a dedicated pediatric dentist who believes every child deserves compassionate, individualized dental care in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and understood. Born and raised in the Phoenix area, he is passionate about serving local families and helping children establish healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Dr. Austin attended Brophy College Preparatory before earning his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College, where he graduated summa cum laude. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating with honors in Dentistry for the Medically Complex. His passion for caring for children led him to complete an advanced pediatric dental residency at Yale University, where he gained experience in both hospital and clinical settings, including the care of children with diverse dental and medical needs.

At My Dentist, Dr. Austin provides comprehensive pediatric dental care with an emphasis on prevention, minimally invasive treatment, and a biological approach to oral health. He values supporting the natural development of children's teeth and gums while helping families understand their child's individual needs and treatment options. His gentle manner and ability to connect with children help create positive dental experiences at every stage of development.

Dr. Austin believes that building trust with children and parents is an essential part of excellent care. He takes the time to educate families, encourage healthy habits, and create treatment experiences tailored to each child's comfort and needs.

Outside the office, Dr. Austin enjoys spending time with his wife and family, exploring Arizona's beautiful landscapes, and staying active outdoors.
